Rashell Lombard, RVT and Omie

Rashell is the Practice Manager and Nursing Supervisor of Southern California Veterinary Hospital. She has worked here since 1994. Rashell is a Registered Veterinary Technician.

Rashell was born in New Orleans but grew up in Agoura Hills and has lived in California most of her life. She graduated from Agoura Hills High School in 1993.

Rashell continues to study and aspires to become a veterinarian right here at this hospital. One of her favorite things to do is go to school.

Rashell is very attached to Omie her tabby cat and loves him very much.


Triana Dhesse with Sockie and Rita

Triana is the Assistant Manager and works mainly with the nursing staff. She has recently finished the Registered Veterinary Technician Program and is scheduled to take her licensing examination later this year. Triana has been a part of SCVH since 1999. She says “I love my job and where I work”

Triana was born in Los Angeles and grew up in Woodland Hills. She graduated from Louisville High School in Woodland Hills.

Triana has three cats Whitney, Meela, and Sockie and two dogs Tyson and Roscoe. She spends her off time relaxing with her fiancé Tim, family, and friends.  The wedding is planned for February of 2009.


Areka Abrazian, RVT and Nala

Areka is a Registered Veterinary Technician and has worked at SCVH since 2000. She likes the “friendships” she has developed with staff and clients here at the hospital.

Areka was born and grew up in France. She graduated from Granada Hills High School in 1999.

Areka continues to study and aspires to become a veterinarian. One of her favorite things to do is have fun with friends after work.

Areka has three cats and two dogs: Nunush, Hark, Dougie, Daisy Belle, and Nala. She also has a Milk Snake named Bubba. She is proud of the fact that “they are all girls”.


Kim Hernandez with Chibi and Saru

Kim works in as a receptionist and part of the time in pet care making sure all the pets are clean and fed. She has been at SCVH since 2004 and likes the “friendly environment”.

Kim was born in Coon Rapids Minnesota and grew up in Fridley. She graduated from Canoga Park High School.

Kim has three Chihuahuas named Chibi, Saru, and WaWa. When she is not at work she likes to play basketball and help her husband restore old cars.



Cesar Molina and Max

Cesar works as a technician and assistant to the doctors in the practice. He has been at SCVH since 2005 and likes “the environment and the people I work with”.  Cesar takes pride in being the jokester of the group.

Cesar was born in Los Angeles but grew up in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada before coming back to the valley for high school. He graduated from Cleveland High School in Reseda. He plans on being a registered veterinary technician in the short run and a veterinarian in the long run.

He has one child, Julien, born in 2006. Cesar also has two dogs, Pookie and Taco, Kody a bird, and two cats Max and Sara Socks.

When not at work Cesar enjoys spending time with family and playing with his son. His hobbies include soccer and fishing and he and Vo are always planning their next soccer match or their next boating trip.



Carol Lapin, Kobe, and Maggie

Carol works in the front as she “loves working around animals”. She and her husband Herb “have adopted numerous dogs and cats over the years”. She has been at SCVH since 1979 and “has worked in the front office full time, managed the practice over the years and now works part time”

Carol was raised in the Cincinnati area and graduated from North College Hill High School. She worked in the central accounting office for Proctor and Gamble before taking a position with American Airlines. She graduated from their flight attendant college (she says they called themselves “stewardesses” then) and eventually made it to Los Angeles.

A flight attendant introduced her to Herb and they have been married 39 years. She has a daughter Laura and grandson Cole. She also has an extended family of children Dean, Suzanne, and Steve with grandchildren Ben, Pamela, and Samantha. She has a 16-year old cat named Teddy, Kobe a Himalayan and Maggie their standard poodle that they adopted and nursed back to health. She says that Maggie is “just a love!”


Jennifer (JJ) Baron and Ringo

JJ works as a receptionist and she says, “Seeing animals on a regular basis makes me happy and the staff are all friends – a great atmosphere”. She has been at SCVH since 2002.

JJ grew up in the Scottsdale, Arizona and Porter Ranch, California.  She graduated from Cleveland Magnet High School in Reseda and then graduated from UCSB with a B.A. in English Literature

JJ spends her time with her Pit Bull mix Ringo and likes a mountain biking, running, writing, reading, and skiing.

She loves “eccentric conversations” and wants to “carve her path through life with optimistic diligence in the face of challenges and while appreciating the intricacies of life’s large and small wonders”



Lisa and Sadie

Lisa works in the Pet Care area and also as an assistant to the technicians and doctors doing a variety of procedures. She has been here since mid 2007. She says that “great co-workers and doctors and seeing the animals get better” are what she enjoys most

Lisa was born, grew up, and went to high school in Japan and has made California her home for the last 10 years. She and her husband have ‘pet’ children. She has two cats Pete, 13 years old and Kaylee one year old.

In her spare time, when not watching movies, she enjoys swimming, yoga, gardening, and photography.



Vo Woldanski with Trouble and Dexter

Vo is a veterinary technician and assistant and has been here since mid 2006. He is also relied upon to be “Mr. Fix-it” in the hospital. He says that “playing with animals” keeps him motivated and working at SCVH. His goal is to someday work with big cats or African Wildlife.

Vo was born in Poland and spent his youth there before moving to Beverly Hills and graduating from Beverly Hills High School. Vo does not have kids and says that allows for “a stress free life”. He spends most of his time with his two pit bulls, Trouble and Dexter.

Vo enjoys playing league soccer, taking fishing trips out of Oxnard and camping. When not at work he is “riding my Harley”.



Melissa, Abby and Brenna

Melissa works as a receptionist and has been doing so since the beginning of 2008. She especially likes the diversity of the clients and pets and how they interact with each other.

Melissa was born in Anaheim, grew up in California, and went to school in Louisiana where she graduated from high school. She attended Nicholls State in Louisiana and UCSB plus CSUN in California. Lately, she attended College of the Canyons for a degree in photography. She is the hospital photographer and is responsible for all the pictures in this website and in the hospital. She is married and has three children Jonathan 21, Alison 18, and Brenna 11. She also has many pets that she loves. Abby is an English Pointer. Her family also has a German Shorthair, a black cat named Mikko, and Timmy the tortoise. Of course no family is complete without a new puppy; Lucy a cute French Bulldog puppy born July 20th 2008 was recently added.

Melissa spends her time raising three active children and all that goes into it. She also likes to “run” with the dogs. She particularly likes to get away to “Vegas” whenever possible and dreams of taking her first cruise one day.



Stacey Mountain and Bailey

Stacey has been a receptionist since late 2007 and works here because “I love the, clients, and coworkers; everyone treats everyone with respect. I love working here.” She would eventually like to work with exotic animals and marine life.

Stacey was born in Minnesota and lived there for a time before living in several areas in southern California. She graduated from Reseda High School. Stacey sees her “children” as her dogs Baily a three year old Papillon and Nalu a ten month old Papillon mix.

Stacey loves the outdoors and gravitates toward horseback riding, volleyball, and hiking. While not at work “I like to have fun and be spontaneous. I’d rather live my life to the fullest.”

 

 



McCall with Lilly, Pico, Peter, and Zara

McCall is a receptionist since 2007 and enjoys "the experience with animals and the great co-workers" at SCVH. She is currently enrolled in classes and working hard to do the only thing she has ever wanted and that is to become a veterinarian.

McCall was born in Redwood City and grew up in Sacramento graduating from Mesa Verde High School in Citrus Heights. When asked how long she has lived in California she replied "22 years, 9 months, and 29 days." McCall is very active in canine rescue and has 4 dogs: Lilly, a four year old Aussie Shepherd mix, Pico, a one and a half year old Chihuahua, Peter, a one and a half year old German Shepherd mix, and Zara, and two and a half year old Pit Bull.

McCall describes her hobbies as dancing, swimming, eating and eating. While not at work she enjoys "eating, going to the beach, dance classes, and eating!"



Stacey Johnson and Vance

Stacey has been at SCVH as a receptionist since mid 2008/ and "the people" are what keeps her here and happy. Someday she would like to train exotic animals.

Stacey was born in Overland park, Kansas and grew up in Shawnee near a lake. She attended Shawnee Mission North High School and she has been in California for two years. She recently graduated from Moorpark College's Exotic Animal Training and Management Program. When asked about children "None!" and "No Way!" came up. Instead she spends her time with her two cats Vance aka "Naked" a Cornish REx, 3 years old and New Kitty a ten week old orange tabby.

Stacey has adopted the classic California attitude and when she is not at work she likes to "relax and go to the beach". She enjoys boogie boarding, TV watching, hanging out with friends and their dogs, and anything with water.


Daniel Alvarez

Daniel is the newest addition to our staff and started September 2008. Daniel primary job is to "help fee the animals, walk them, keep them clean, and help the technicians as much as possible".

Daniel was born and raised in California and grew up with his grandmother in North Hollywood. He graduated from North Hollywood High School in 2006. His overall goal is to "know about any field I find interesting". currently, Daniel has three dogs, Zelenne, a red nosed pit bull and two Chihuahuas, Pepper and Cinnamon.

Daniel is a musician and loves to make music in his spare time. He plays the guitar and makes music for multiple projects.
